Local MP Attends Primary Presentation

The children of the Dunfermline congregation in Dundee Scotland of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, welcomed a special guest at their annual presentation.  Thomas Docherty, MP for Dunfermline and Fife, was in attendance on Sunday, 27 October 2013, to hear the children share what they have been learning about the theme "I Am a Child of God".  The children, who had worked very hard all year, presented short talks and songs during the Sunday worship service.

One of the children, at the beginning of the presentation, said, "Our voices might be small and quiet, but our spirits are big and loud."  That shone through as each child, from ages 3-11, shared their thoughts and feelings through song, talks and scripture about how we are all children of God.

After the presentation, Bishop Charles Marr was able to take Mr. Docherty on a tour of the building and discuss different aspects of the Church.  He also presented Mr. Docherty with a Book of Mormon, a Family First booklet and a DVD of various Mormon Messages.  They had a very positive experience.

Of the presentation, Mr. Docherty said, "I was delighted to be able to join the children for their special day and to learn more about the Church.  They are a credit to their teachers and their parents and I wish them every success for the year to come."
