Hann Family

News Release — 15 February 2013

CBBC wanted to tell the story of a large family from the perspective of the children: “As their Mormon faith is a big part of who they are, we are keen for the children to share what their faith means to them as children, how they practice this and how it affects them. We will also be following the family during an exciting period in their lives, as their eldest daughter, Rachel gets married and leaves home. This will be a wonderful journey to follow as the family prepares for the big day, and we will see the whole family celebrate in church”

On a recent tour through Julia's House, a unique non-denominational children's hospice, Poole Church leader, John Crew, with MP Tobias Ellwood, and family, were delighted to present a cheque for nearly £1500 to the CEO, Martin Edwards.  Tobias Ellwood is the Member of Parliament for Bournemouth East and Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Europe Minister.

Manchester Dignitaries attend Concert in aid of Local Charities

Witham Member receives British Empire Medal

Valerie Ahern, from Witham, Essex was awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the Queen's New Year Honours List for services in her local community as chairwoman for the Templars Estate Resident's Association. Valerie lives on the Templars Estate and was given the award for her work for the tenants.

Dundee singers  raise monies for Lord Provost's Charitable Fund

Members of the Dundee, Scotland area filled the Overgate Shopping Centre with music as they performed various songs to raise funds for children’s charities.  The choir of 30 members, including many serving full-time missions and choir members from the local congregations in Bingham Terrace and Liff Road, were invited to sing by the Lord Provost.
