Aberdeen's Santa Float Raises Funds for MND

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, Scotland area, joined with Santa Claus to help raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Scotland. MND Scotland was established in 1981 and is the only Scottish charity providing care and support to people affected by MND as well as funding research into finding a cure.

The fund raising took place during the first two weeks of December and a total of £4064 was raised. Sandra Wood, a member of the congregation said, “It was a thrill for all our members who took part on the Santa Float, to see the children and the families enjoy being with Santa and listening to the Happy Christmas songs.”

The Santa Float, in The Bridge of Don has been running for 25 years and has generated significant sums of money for charities.
