Manchester Concert Donates to Care UK Refugee Aid

The Manchester Choir of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted their annual Carol Concert, the17th December, in front of local dignitaries and a large audience in aid of a local charity.

Many members and local people attended and it was a joyful start to the Christmas week!

The Mayor and Deputy Mayoress of Trafford Borough Council were in the congregation and thoroughly enjoyed their evening with Bishop Justin Willing of Stretford as their host.

Local members brought donations, collected in Santa's Sleigh, which were donated to Care UK Refugee Aid NW. Many congregations in the Manchester area spend their time volunteering all year round for this worthy cause. Refreshments were served as people socialised and the Christmas tree was decorated with 'World Hearts' the logo for the Christmas campaign, ‘Light the World’.
