Osmond Brothers Visit Sheffield

Last Sunday evening members of the world famous Osmond Family delighted an audience of more than 400 people in Sheffield.

The free community event, 'An Inspirational Evening of Music and Life Experiences', filled The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as Mormons) in Jordanthorpe, and was attended by invited community leaders and church leaders as well as church members and friends. The Osmonds also met Linda Carlo who swam 250 miles and raised over £7000 for Justin Osmond’s charity ‘The Hearing Fund UK’, which provides hearing aids and musical instruments for deaf children.

Merrill Osmond shared memories from his extraordinary sixty year career in show business, which included meeting Her Majesty the Queen and his long-term friendship with Sir Paul McCartney and Elvis Presley. Merrill's son Justin, his nephew Nathan and daughter in law Kristi all shared moving life experiences.

As followers of Jesus Christ, the family confirmed how their faith kept the Osmonds grounded during their demanding international careers that have spanned so many decades.

Mormons believe that families can be forever and this is a principle held closely by members of the Osmond family, who are constantly in close contact with one another despite the challenges of busy work schedules and long distances that separate them.
