Scarborough Ward Celebrates 400th Anniversary of KJV Bible

On Saturday 19th December, Scarborough Ward held an event to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.  Scarborough Library agreed to allow the Ward to put on a display for the public which included a collection of very old Bibles which were kindly loaned by members from nearby Bridlington Branch.

Around 40 members of the public attended and viewed the display.  Many also lingered to watch a BYUtv documentary about the King James Bible, and some accepted a free Bible as a souvenir of their visit.

Visitors were reminded that the scriptures have answers to many of life’s questions and were asked "If you could ask God one question, what would it be?".  They were encouraged to write their question down and place it in a box with their contact details.  Members and missionaries will be responding to their questions in due course.
